On the news with the image of a guy in the formal wear with two fists up yelling, “Congressman Vance Defy”
Newscaster: Crystal Clear News will have an interview with the congress representative about gun issues. He is looked up by many people. He believes that guns are not the problem. The problem is people. Here it is.
Text appears, “What should we do with gun issues in the U.S.?”
In the news interview room with the wall of windows with the view of the water metropolis on a clear day. “Live” appears on.
Newscaster: Welcome! I am glad that you came here to talk about guns.
Congressman: Hello. Yes, guns are a hot topic in the U.S.
Newscaster: Yeah, I have a question. Other countries that increase gun control have low rates of gun related deaths. Why don’t we do the same here in the U.S.?
Congressman: Really, the problem is if we give our guns up, other countries will easily invade us. (Reacts to bullet shooting) (gunshots)
Multiple bullet holes appear in the windows. (gunshots)
Newscaster: (reacts to shooting) Security! Is someone shooting outside?
In the back of the newsroom:
Security: Ok. I’ll check.
In the newsroom, the newscaster turns to the congressman.
Congressman: Relax. Keep it cool. (And poses a smile)
Newscaster: Oh. (Turns to smile) But in other countries that have increased their gun control, their military defenses remain strong. Why don’t we have the same here in the U.S.? (Reacts to shooting)
A security guard walks outside and escapes from getting shot.
Congressman (reacts to shooting)
Newscaster: Is someone outside shooting again?!
The security guard runs outside.
Congressman: Take a moment. Just keep going, as long as it doesn’t impact our children. Anyway, go on. (Poses a smile)
Newscaster with difficultly turns a worried look into a smile.
The security guard runs around outside in the background.
Congressman: Guns are really powerful. They defend us. (Reacts to shooting and poses a smile)
The security guard runs outside and gestures to back off!
Newscaster: Oh. Umm. But the problem is that the U.S. has an excessive amount of mass shootings. What do you think of having a psychiatric evaluation requirement as part of improved gun control?
The congressman swallows and poses with a smile speechlessly while the security guard in the background walks backwards gesturing to someone offscreen to back off.
Newscaster: (reacts to shooting) Ahh, someone is shooting inside now! (Falls onto the ground)
The security guard escapes from being shot. The congressman falls to the ground.
Newscaster: (sitting on the ground) Do you realize what is happening to us?! We already have security and we still have someone shooting. What should we do? Where is gun control?!
The security guard runs outside and gestures to back off!
Congressman: (sitting on the ground) Oh, I think you’re right. (Poses a smile)
The security guard looks at the congressman and the camera and gestures to “get out!”
Cut to black and text appears, “After that moment, the U.S. passed a stricter gun law. One of the requirements for gun ownership is to have a mental health evaluation periodically.”
In a psychologist’s office:
Psychologist: As your psychologist for your gun application, I am glad we got this done.
Client: Yes, I do feel better after sharing my feeling and thoughts. Now, do I feel that I need a gun? Not anymore.
Psychologist: I’m glad that you feel this way. (Turns to the camera) Apparently America has become a safer place. (Poses a smile)
